Wow, you read your church newsletter! You are a special person!

Now that you've found the blog, please leave a comment. Just say "hi" if you want to. As a blogger, not receiving comments or feedback is very depressing. And who wants a depressing blog?

This will be a place to find, before Sunday, images, music or ideas that will point you toward the next week's worship. Ask questions, make comments, share your ideas before the sermon gets written! After worship, share your response. What moved you spiritually? What questions do you still have? How are you going to apply what you've experienced to daily life?

This is not a place, by the way, to file complaints. "Doing no harm" means sharing concerns in the most positive, most direct and loving way possible. That means gently, individually, and face to face. If you are upset about something at church, any of your pastors will welcome conversation with you about it.

Hi Friends,

I'm psyched to be the first comment on this new blogspot! I know that over the next few months, we're going to have Spirit filled conversations that will bring grace-filled vitality to our lives and in our congregation.

Since this is a blogspot meant for sharing prayers of the heart and resources for the soul, I wanted to mention two standard United Methodist resources for all of you Wesley fans. (I know that Pastor Ruth Ann knows about these - but a blogspot is meant for sharing the love!)

The first is the Upper Room: http://www.upperroom.org/. This site is fabulous because it has a lot of great devotional resources you can get online for daily personal worship.

The other standard Methodist website for worship resources is: http://www.gbod.org/worship/. This website has an interesting mix of UMC conversations about worship and beyond.

May our time together bring joy to our hearts and renewal to this world.

joyfully,
Pastor Stina Koppes

I want to let you know how much I enjoyed RuthAnn's sermon on Staying in Love. It was interesting to learn the different denominations view on the same topic. I am hoping that RuthAnn will either print out/post the remainder of her sermon or continue with the sermon next week
